| Driving Directions
An express train service runs every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around 10 EUR. Termini train station is five blocks from the hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. A taxi to the hotel will cost approximately 45 EUR. Alternatively, the hotel can arrange airport transfers if requested in advance. Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. The city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Traffic in Rome is often busy and chaotic so driving is not generally recommended. <BR> Driving directions: From the airport, follow directions for Roma Centro. Then follow signs for the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, looking out for signs for the hotel. |
