The Hotel Corot is a terracotta-painted townhouse hotel situated 350 metres from Termini railway station and 600 metres from the Piaza della Rebublica. The 28 guestrooms are simply decorated with pale walls, parquet flooring, modern wood furniture and floral fabrics. Bathrooms have white tiled walls and floors and toiletres. All offer satellite television, minibars and newspapers.<BR> The multilingual concierge can assist with sending faxes, information on city tours, details of taxis and transportation, and restaurant recommendations. Guests can order cappuccinos and home-made pastries at breakfast, and relax later on leather sofas with drinks in the American Bar. | Driving Directions
There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around 10 EUR. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. A taxi to the city centre costs around 60 EUR.<BR> Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. The city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Traffic in Rome is often busy and chaotic so driving is not generally recommended. |
